Ms Mather, Thank you for allowing us to stay at your Flamingo House. It was perfect! I was amazed how close to the beach it was, and I do like that area of the beach the best. We also enjoyed the deck and the outside shower was nice after coming from the beach. My husband was happy you have internet so he could keep up with what was going on at his work. My brother took us to the Drum Circle, and my 4 year old son participated in the kids beach run. We hope to stay again sometime.

My husband enjoyed the bicycle very much. You even provided beach towels and chairs. The location is great, as we didn't have to move our car to go to diner or to the beach! "We've stayed at Flamingo House a couple of different times now and both
stays have been GREAT!  The proximity to the beach and Siesta Village are
perfect (approx. 1 block to both), but the neighborhood feeling is more
relaxing than being further south on the key where all of the resort-like
hotels are.  You barely need a car. We were provided with bikes and a DVD
player, beach towels and umbrella, a great grill, and you can't beat the
huge front deck for a relaxing meal or happy hour.  There literally isn't
anything negative I can say about Flamingo House and I hope to visit again
for years to come.  Keep up the great work, Mary (your improvements since
you bought FHouse really show and shine!)."

We did some snorkeling at Point of Rocks and it was fun.

“I had the pleasure of staying here for 9 days. The grounds were very well kept, in fact there was someone there maintaining and cleaning every day I was there. The unit was clean and cozy. lots of space and all the amenities were incredible. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the unit was stocked with everything we needed for a great beach vacation. They had umbrellas, chairs, beach towels, and a full kitchen setup. The place is in an outstanding location as well. Only 3 houses away from the restaurants and only 100 yards from the beach. I will definitely be staying here as often as possible.”

"What a wonderful and cozy home away from home you have created! You have thought of everything with a fully stocked kitchen and everything we needed to make our stay relaxing and stress free.

Being within walking distance to the beach and the village was wonderful! We enjoyed the Old Salty Dog, The Hub and yummy ice cream at Big Olafs.

The beach felt like a private beach just for us, and the sunsets were spectacular.

"I wanted people to know how enjoyable it was for my old friend (from CA) and I to take a week off and spend time together after 8 years of not seeing each other and rent a place at the beach at Siesta Key. Betsy luckily searched Craig's List and found The Flamingo House. It was a very reasonable fee for a Siesta Key rental and we were happily surprised when we got there. I was also happy to learn that my dogs were also welcome. It is a one bedroom adorable apt. with also a queen size futon sleeping couch in living room - it is really less than 1 block to the beach. The place is the perfect beach cottage and the area is lovely for you to walk and also walk your dogs. It is very convenient to the Village, which is only 1/2 block away, where there are quaint shops and plenty of restaurants - no need for the car at all. Another thing to point out - the "extra special touch" was there - the extra little amenities were totally unexpected and enjoyed. As soon as I can, I'll be going back there to stay again."

"My husband and I spent a week here and it was WONDERFUL!!!!!! The property was clean, close to the beach, and Mary Mather was terrific to us. YES WE WILL go back again!!! We stayed in cabin C, it was perfect for 2 people!! Mary took the time to show me her other larger Houses/Cabins and they would be perfect for a family gathering or large family. And for us it was a plus that it is pet friendly. I have to say for my husband and myself it was one of the best vacations we've taken!!!! We were there in June and I'm still talking about it!!!! Thank you Mary for a great week!!!!!!"
